Ginza & Nihonbashi

Ginza is the epitome of luxury. Home to the most expensive land prices in all of Japan, the district is full of high-end brand shops, upmarket boutiques and sophisticated entertainment options, including concert halls, ritzy cocktail and sushi bars and Kabukiza theatre, the home of Japanese dance and drama.

Nearby, Nihonbashi has a rich history, having been a major trade and travel hub since the 17th century. Visit Nihonbashi Bridge, the point from which all distances to the capital were measured then (in stone markings) and today (on highway signs). The district expertly blends old and new Tokyo, with craft shops and 100-year-old department stores alongside modern shopping centres offering traditional Japanese experiences.
