Shizuoka

Shizuoka Prefecture is the home of Mount Fuji, Japan’s tallest and most sacred peak. Fujian Hongu Sengen, the shrine that pilgrims have visited since ancient times before climbing to the summit, is located in its foothills along with the Shiraito and Otodome waterfalls. In the south, the Izu peninsula has sandy beaches and hot springs.
